01 · The brand
A GiG challenger brand out of Scandinavia
Dunder started in 2016 in the Nordic markets and built itself on the Gaming Innovation Group platform, a mainstream casino stocked from the usual big studios rather than an offshore rogue. In 2018 it moved on the United Kingdom, presenting itself as a challenger brand in a crowded market. Behind the name sat MT SecureTrade Limited, a GiG white-label company that ran Dunder and a couple of stablemates under the Gaming Innovation Group Malta Gaming Authority licence. For a while the model worked; then the ground under white-label gambling in regulated Europe began to shift.
02 · The UK exit
Out of the UK by the end of October 2020
The British chapter closed quickly. Dunder stopped advertising to UK players on 15 October 2020, took no further UK registrations or deposits, and lowered its withdrawal threshold to three pounds so that even small balances could be taken out. UK account access, logins and withdrawals were switched off by 30 October 2020. As exits go this was an orderly one: players were given a short window and a low threshold to collect what they held, rather than finding the door simply locked. It came as Gaming Innovation Group was stepping back from the white-label business that Dunder belonged to.
03 · Wound up
The operator wound up in a Malta court
After the UK exit, Dunder faded rather than crashed. Gaming Innovation Group left white-labelling in 2020, and MT SecureTrade surrendered its Malta Gaming Authority licence in 2022; the company sat dormant for years. Then, on 17 November 2025, a Maltese court approved the winding-up of MT SecureTrade Limited, a step described as closing off the last remaining risk from that chapter of the Gaming Innovation Group business. The backdrop matters: players in Austria, and in other former grey markets such as Germany and the Netherlands, had been pursuing refunds of historic losses from operators of that era, and a dissolved company is a far harder target for such a claim. For anyone still holding a Dunder balance, or weighing a historic-loss claim, the position is now blunt – dunder.com shows the casino closed, and the entity behind it has been wound up.
04 · The receipts
How we verified this record
Every claim on this page is graded by how firmly the record supports it. “Confirmed” means more than one independent source agrees, or we saw it ourselves. “Observed” means we checked it directly on the date shown. “Unconfirmed” means it rests on reports we could not independently prove.
05 · The questions
Dunder – the questions still open
Q. Is Dunder casino closed?
Yes. Dunder left the UK at the end of October 2020, and its operating company, MT SecureTrade Limited, was wound up by a Maltese court on 17 November 2025. The dunder.com site shows the casino closed.
Q. Who operated Dunder?
MT SecureTrade Limited, a Gaming Innovation Group white-label company that ran Dunder under the GiG Malta Gaming Authority licence. GiG left the white-label business in 2020 and surrendered that licence in 2022.
Q. What happened to UK balances when Dunder left in 2020?
The exit was staged. The withdrawal threshold was cut to three pounds so small balances could be taken out, and UK logins and withdrawals were disabled by 30 October 2020, giving players a window to collect their money.
Q. Can I still make a claim against Dunder now?
The operating company has been dissolved, which makes it a much harder target. Players in some European markets had pursued refunds of historic losses, but a wound-up company complicates any residual balance or claim. Keep your records and take independent advice.
