LuckyStake was a mid-sized American sweepstakes casino run by ElevateTech Ltd. It stopped gameplay and coin purchases on 14 August 2026, gave players six days to file their last Sweeps Coins redemptions, and then closed accounts. It had only absorbed the players of SweepNext, another shuttered sweeps site, four months earlier.

01 · The casino

A quiet sweeps site that inherited another casino’s players

LuckyStake ran the standard dual-currency sweepstakes model: Gold Coins for play, Sweeps Coins that could be redeemed for cash prizes, and an alternative method of entry (AMOE) for players who did not want to buy anything. The operating company was ElevateTech Ltd, which had no other sweepstakes brands in the market. The lobby was reasonably deep for a site of its size, with more than 800 titles from studios including RubyPlay, Relax Gaming and Slotmill, but it never broke into the top tier of the American sweeps market and marketed itself modestly.

Its last big event before the closure was a takeover rather than a launch. In April 2026 SweepNext, operated by Boostora Ltd, pointed its own players at LuckyStake as it shut down. So a share of LuckyStake’s final player base had already been through one closure that year. A month before that, in March 2026, LuckyStake had told players it was slowing its marketing, which in hindsight reads as the first public sign that the operation was being wound down.

02 · The shutdown

Six days between the last spin and the last redemption

The closure was announced by email to players. On 14 August 2026 gameplay stopped, coin purchases stopped and the AMOE programme closed. Players were given until 11:59pm Eastern on 20 August 2026 to submit any remaining Sweeps Coins redemption requests. After that, the platform and all player accounts were closed. There was no phased wind-down and no offer to migrate players to another brand, which is what SweepNext had done in April; ElevateTech had nowhere to send them.

No single reason was given. The timing lines up with the broader retreat from the American sweepstakes market through 2026. Tennessee and Oklahoma both enacted sweepstakes bans in May, adding to earlier restrictions in states such as Louisiana, and the compliance and legal cost of running a dual-currency site has climbed for every operator. A small brand with one product and a shrinking map of states to sell into had little margin left, and a marketing slowdown followed by a migration of inherited players is a familiar pattern before a closure.

03 · The money

Redemptions filed in time were promised, not paid on the spot

This is the part that matters if you had a balance. LuckyStake said that redemption requests already pending, and any submitted before the 20 August deadline, would remain active and would continue to be reviewed after the platform and player accounts had closed. In plain terms, the cut-off was for filing a request, not for receiving the money. Anything not requested by the deadline was lost when accounts were closed. Gold Coins had no cash value and were not redeemable at any point.

Keep the confirmation email, the date and amount of the request, and any KYC documents you previously supplied. We have no reporting yet of unpaid redemptions from this closure, and we have no reporting of completed ones either; the record stays open until players confirm one way or the other.

LuckyStake – the questions still open

Q. Is LuckyStake closed?

Yes. Gameplay, coin purchases and the AMOE programme ended on 14 August 2026, and player accounts were closed after the redemption deadline of 20 August 2026.

Q. Can I still redeem Sweeps Coins from LuckyStake?

Not any more. The deadline for submitting redemption requests was 11:59pm Eastern on 20 August 2026. Requests filed before then were to be reviewed after closure. Anything not requested by that date was forfeited when accounts closed.

Q. I filed a redemption before the deadline and have not been paid. What now?

Q. Who ran LuckyStake?

No reason was given. The closure followed a marketing slowdown announced in March 2026 and came during a year in which several American states, including Tennessee and Oklahoma, banned the dual-currency sweepstakes model.
