SportsMillions was an American social sportsbook with a sweepstakes casino attached, run by Special M Limited of Gibraltar. It opened in June 2024 and closed on 26 August 2025, fourteen months later. No reason was ever given. The odd part is what the domain does now: it shows a coming soon page, not a closure notice.

01 · The site

Sports first, with slots bolted on

SportsMillions launched in June 2024. Like Kickr, it put sports at the front and the casino behind it. Players used a coin to back teams and players, and a sweepstakes casino sat alongside for anyone who wanted slots. Its own feature, called Blitz em, was the piece it pushed hardest in marketing.

The operating company was Special M Limited, a Gibraltar company with an address in Irish Town. Two separate reviews written while the site was live give that name and that address, so we are comfortable with it.

The ownership above that is less clear. Two sources describe Special M Limited as sitting under an Estonian parent called B2Services. The help pages on the site itself appear to have carried an article explaining what B2Service was. We could not load that page to read it. We record the parent link as reported rather than proven.

02 · The shutdown

Closed without a word of explanation

The platform closed on 26 August 2025. We know that because the operator’s own text said so. It stated that, as of that date, the SportsMillions platform had closed and was no longer available.

That is the whole statement. No reason. No thank-you. No note about what players should do next. For a site that had been running fourteen months and advertising for customers, that is a thin way to leave.

One industry analysis piece was written about six weeks after the closure. It blamed a mix of payout pressure, legal risk and poor management. That is guesswork by an outside writer, not a statement from the company, and we file it as such.

The context is not guesswork, though. August 2025 was in the middle of the worst stretch the American sweepstakes market has had. Sites closed in batches that summer. SportsMillions was one of them.

03 · The money

No deadline, no instructions, no answers

We can find no cash-out deadline and no instructions to players anywhere. The closure line says the platform is no longer available and stops there.

The same analysis piece from October 2025 says players might still have been able to request a redemption after the closure. But it says processing and support were uncertain. That wording is vague. It is the best information anyone has.

We have not found a specific named complaint about an unpaid balance. We have also not found a single player saying they got paid. On a site that ran for over a year, that silence is not comforting.

And then there is the domain. When we loaded it on 9 September 2026 it showed a coming soon page. Not the closure line, not a parked advert page, but the sort of holding page a site puts up before it launches. We found no news of any relaunch. We do not know what that page means and we are not going to pretend we do.

A coming soon page on a closed casino domain is not proof of a relaunch. It can just as easily mean the domain changed hands. Treat any site that appears there as a new and unknown business until it proves otherwise.

What we checked, and what we did not. We loaded the domain ourselves twice on 9 September 2026 and recorded what it showed. We took the closure date from the operator own wording as reproduced on a review site, and matched it against a separate closure tracker. We cross-checked the operating company name and Gibraltar address across two unrelated reviews. We tried and failed to load the site help page that would have settled the parent company question. We searched player forums and complaint sites for named unpaid balances and found none, which proves nothing either way. We did not contact Special M Limited. Last independently checked: 9 September 2026.

05 · The questions
