01 · The site
A properly licensed Danish site
Denmark licenses its online gambling. The regulator is called Spillemyndigheden, the Danish Gambling Authority. Jackpotbet A/S held one of those licences.
It ran an online casino and a sportsbook at jackpotbet.dk. It was a real Danish company under real Danish rules.
Public reviews of the site run up to October 2025. That tells us it was still taking real money from customers only months before it failed.
02 · The shutdown
A rescue attempt that failed
On 22 April 2026 the company entered a court process called reconstruction. In Denmark that is a formal attempt to save a company before it goes bust.
The site stopped working the same day. The regulator published a notice telling players what had happened. It named the firm handling the case, the law firm DLA Piper in Denmark, and gave contact names.
The rescue did not work. On 18 June 2026 Jackpotbet A/S was declared bankrupt. Its casino and betting licences ended as a result.
No reason was ever given beyond the wording of the court filing. That filing said only that the aim was to stop the company going bankrupt. It did not say why the company was in trouble.
03 · The money
Your balance is a claim in a bankruptcy
This is the important part and it is not simple.
When a licensed company goes bankrupt, your account balance does not vanish. It becomes a debt the company owes you. You have to ask a court-appointed official for it. That official is called a trustee.
Danish players were told to file a claim with the trustee at DLA Piper. That is a form-filling process, not a withdrawal button.
You might get all of it. You might get some of it. You might get none. It depends on how much money is left, and who else the company owes. There is no promise. Nobody has published how much was owed to players in total.
This point is being argued about in Denmark more widely. There has been a separate court case in Denmark. It asks a simple question. In a bankruptcy, is a player balance the player money or the company money? That case is about a different company. We mention it only so you know the question is live.
04 · The receipts
How we verified this record
Every claim on this page is graded by how firmly we could check it. Confirmed means we saw it in the operator’s own notice or in a document that cannot easily be faked. Observed means we saw it ourselves on the live site or domain on the date given. Unconfirmed means it has been reported but we could not prove it.
