Vivaro.us was an American sweepstakes casino that also ran sweepstakes poker, operated by SWS Operations, Inc. It opened in October 2024 and lasted about a year. In early September 2025 it told players it was shutting because of the growing legal pressure on sweepstakes casinos. The last day to cash out was 30 September 2025 and the site closed on 1 October 2025. The domain no longer resolves.

01 · The casino

One of the few that dealt cards

Vivaro.us opened in October 2024, run by a company called SWS Operations, Inc. It was a sweepstakes site, which in America means you do not bet cash. You buy a play coin. You get a second coin free alongside it. Only that second coin can be swapped back for money. It is a way of running casino games in states where real-money gambling online is not allowed.

Most sweepstakes sites are slots and a few table games. Vivaro was one of the small number that also ran poker, with real tables against other players. That gave it a following among poker players who had run out of legal places to play in their state.

Do not confuse it with Vivaro Betting in Yerevan, Armenia. That is a separate local bookmaker with a similar name. We looked for a link between the two and found nothing connecting them.

02 · The shutdown

Out before the law caught up

The closure was announced in the first days of September 2025. Players were told the site would stop on 1 October 2025 and that they had until 30 September 2025 to cash out.

The reason given was the growing legal uncertainty around sweepstakes casinos in the United States. That was not an excuse. Through 2025 one state after another moved against the model, with cease and desist letters, new bills and lawsuits. Several operators pulled out state by state. Vivaro pulled out of the whole country instead.

A month of notice is fair by the standards of this market. Plenty of the sites recorded here gave a week, or nothing at all. The problem with Vivaro was not the length of the notice. It was who the notice actually applied to.

03 · The money

Verified players got paid, the rest lost the lot

Only fully verified accounts could cash out. If you had never finished the identity check, you could not send a redemption request at all. Whatever was in the account went with the site. That is the part of this closure worth remembering.

For verified players the rules were a minimum of 100 coins and a maximum of 10,000 coins a day, with one request every 24 hours. With about three weeks of warning, that was enough time for almost anyone. A very large balance would have needed daily requests to get out in time.

After 1 October 2025 there was no support to contact. The site was gone and so was the help desk. There is no later address, no successor brand and no parent company site to write to.

We grade this one as money owed. A group of players lost balances simply because they had not finished an identity check. They could no longer complete that check once the site closed. We cannot say how many people that was. Nobody publishes that number.

The lesson from Vivaro applies to every sweepstakes site you play on: finish the identity check while the site is healthy. Once a closure is announced, verification queues get longer and an unverified account can be worth nothing.

What we checked, and what we did not. We tried to load the domain ourselves on 9 September 2026 and recorded the result. We cross-checked the closure and deadline dates, the operator name, the stated reason and the redemption rules against four unrelated reports, including one poker trade publication. We checked whether the Armenian company of the same name was connected and found nothing linking them. We did not contact SWS Operations, Inc. and we hold no player or balance data.
