01 · The site
One of the 199 Italian brands that went
In 2025 Italy rebuilt its online gambling licences. Every operator had to bid again. A new licence cost seven million euros for nine years. Italy also stopped operators running lots of small brand names under one licence.
That killed the small end of the Italian market. Italian trade press reports around 350 sites closed and roughly 199 named betting brands vanished.
Betic was one of them. It was not a famous name. It was one of the many small Italian betting sites. Those sites existed only because the old rules allowed a licence holder to run several brands at once.
Italian coverage says Betic was completely absorbed by a company called Vincitu S.r.l. We found that in one source only, so we grade it as reported rather than proven.
02 · The shutdown
No date, no notice, just gone
We could not find an exact closing date for Betic. Nobody published one.
That is normal for the small Italian brands that went in 2025. The regulator paperwork names licence holders, not every brand name underneath them. So a small brand can vanish without any dated record of the day it stopped.
What we do have is the domain. We tried to load it on 10 September 2026 and it does not resolve at all. Not a parked page, not an error page. The address simply does not exist any more.
A public review page for the site also carries a note saying the company website has been closed.
03 · The money
A withdrawal complaint three weeks before the end
This is the part worth recording, because it is dated and specific.
On 4 October 2025 a player left a one star public review. In Italian he wrote that he had made a withdrawal more than 48 hours earlier. He said that despite the terms clearly stated on the site, the money had still not arrived.
An earlier review, from 14 July 2025, describes a fault that stopped bet slips being shown and blocked cash out.
Neither complaint is proven and neither has a resolution we can see. But the timing matters. Both fall in the months when the operator knew the licence rules were changing and the brand was going.
There is no way to chase this now. The site is gone. The one route left is Vincitu S.r.l., the company said to have absorbed Betic. If that fails, try the Italian regulator.
04 · The receipts
How we verified this record
Every claim on this page is graded by how firmly we could check it. Confirmed means we saw it in the operator’s own notice or in a document that cannot easily be faked. Observed means we saw it ourselves on the live site or domain on the date given. Unconfirmed means it has been reported but we could not prove it.
05 · The questions
Betic – the questions still open
Q. When did Betic close?
No exact date was ever published. It went during the 2025 rebuild of Italian gambling licences, and its domain is now dead.
Q. Why did it close?
Italy made every operator bid for a new licence at seven million euros for nine years, and banned running several small brands under one licence. Around 199 named Italian brands disappeared.
Q. Where did the customers go?
One Italian source says they were absorbed by Vincitu S.r.l. We could not confirm that with a second source.
Q. Were there complaints?
Yes. A player wrote on 4 October 2025 that a withdrawal had not arrived after more than 48 hours. An earlier review describes a fault blocking cash out.
Q. Can I still get my money?
Not from Betic. The site is gone. Try Vincitu S.r.l., and then the Italian gambling regulator if you get no answer.
Q. Was Betic shut down for doing something wrong?
Nothing suggests that. It appears to be one of many small brands that could not survive the new licence rules.
